Community ‘drop-in’ to help plan town’s future

Skegness Town Council held a community-led plan session on Saturday, February 22, in the Hildreds Shopping centre.

Skegness Town Coun, Margaret Gray, (pictured left) offered her advice and guidance to local residents on the day.

The community-led initiative has been set up to empower the local community, by helping them work together to improve the area.

A key feature of the new kind of plan the Town Council is introducing is that, after initial advice sessions, the whole process is run entirely by community volunteers – with the Town Council available to give assistance, advice and guidance.

Town Councillors were available throughout the day to advise community representatives on how they can start up the Community-Led Plan.

Those interested in getting involved can telephone the Council Offices on 01754 766113 between 9am and 4pm, or by emailing their name, address and contact details to the Town Clerk’s Office at
