AVID walkers will once again get the chance to don their boots, get dressed in their finest pyjamas and take to the streets of Skegness to raise money for charity.

This year, the Moonlight Sleepwalk event will take place on June 30 where all the money raised will go towards St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice.

Over £4,000 was pledged from the 80 walkers who took part during the last Moonlight Walk, and the cash went towards helping to support patients.

“What better way to celebrate than with a revamp of this fantastic event with new routes and new venues across the county including a new sleepwalk theme,” said a spokesperson.

“Whatever your reason, join us in your PJs for a night to remember.

The six mile walk starts at Skegness Rugby Club, Wainfleet Road at 10.30pm. Both men and women can take part in the event this year and time is running out to get signed up.

Registration costs just £7 (£7.30 online) before May 1 or £10 thereafter (£10.30 online) which includes a walker pack, refreshments after completion of the Moonlight walk and a medal to commemorate the evening. To secure a place enter online www.stbarnabashospice.co.uk or call 01522 540300.
