A recent charity fashion show in aid of Macmillan raised over £1,100, organisers have revealed.
The Orchid Boutique event, which was held at The Grosvenor Hotel in Skegness, was “well supported”.
A spokesperson said: “A lot of hard work went into the organising of the evening. We couldn’t have done it without them or local businesses such as The Grosvenor, who only charged a nominal fee for the buffet and kindly let us have the ballroom at no charge.
“Eden Florist also loaned the beautiful chair covers and Indulgence of Louth [provided] the balloon table centre-pieces that helped to make the room look fantastic.
“Without all of the kind people, taking part or donating, the night would not have been so successful.
“The guests were treated to a medley of West End songs at the start of the evening from three local ladies - Claire Smith, Katy Meadows and Lauren Marshall - and were later serenaded with a selection of ‘Rat Pack’ songs by Taff Lloyd.
“There followed a stunning display of the Autumn collections on offer from Orchid, and the gorgeous models were escorted down the catwalk by four local rugby club members.
“A raffle during the interval raised over £400, with some fabulous prizes donated by local businesses. It was a fantastic evening and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, raising £1,131.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support.”
