Community-spirited youngsters from the Skegness area have been helping those less fortunate find food this winter, with donations of tins.

Skegness Rotary Club’s Skegness Academy Interact Club have been meeting every two weeks after school to carry out community service projects.

The youngsters, aged between 12 and 18, have collected tins of food for the Community Larder, which helps local people who have fallen on hard times and cannot afford to eat.

The group has also been packing shoe boxes to be sent to Bulgaria as part of Rotary’s Shoe Box Appeal and will be running in this year’s Santa Fun Run.
