Visitors to Skegness will be spoilt for things to do in the coming days when the town is filled with a riot of colour for this year’s Carnival Week - which runs from from Sunday to Friday.

It all kicks off this Sunday with the Carnival Parade through the heart of Skegness from 1pm onwards. A Parade Day Gala will also be held from noon to 7pm.

Other activities include a chance for budding artists to try their skills as pavement artists at 10am on Monday at Prince Edward Walk.

The fun then extends to Central Beach at 2pm on August 12 for the ever-popular Sand Sculpture contest. Guests will also see the return of the Extreme Sports Display at the X-site Park at North Shore car park.

On Tuesday, there will be activities in Tower Gardens and at Grand Central, including the Tiny Tots and Super Heroes Baby Show and Gala.

Next Wednesday, Pier Field in North Parade will host the Three 9s Gala from 10am to 4pm. There’ll also be pet shows and treasure hunts later that week.
