Year five students recently went on a trip to the visitor centre at Bosworth Battlefields in Leicestershire as part of the history curriculum.
During a session about arms and armour they took part in a drilling activity using billhooks and pikes.

A Ranby House spokesperson said: “They had the opportunity to learn about heraldry and had to discover which knight was really a spy.”
“The children returned to school full of enthusiasm and knowledge for their history topic.”
