Firefighters on the Lincolnshire coast have been called out to three incidents in Spilsby, Mablethorpe and Swaby overnight within a four-hour spell.

The most recent emergency happened on the A16 in Swaby where a fire crew from Alford responded to reports of a car on fire shortly after 2.05am this morning.

It left damage to the exhaust but the fire was already out when the crew arrived.

Earlier, firefighters from Mablethorpe used a water hose reel to put out a bin fire on South Promenade shortly after 11.20pm last night.

This followed reports of a bush fire in Skegness Road, Partney an hour earlier which a fire crew from Spilsby attended.

However, it turned out to be controlled burning.
