Volleyball England’s National Beach Tour kicks off in Skegness on June 13 and 14 and there is an opportunity for local people to be involved.

The two day event will take place on central beach, with over 100 high profile players from the national volleyball circuit taking part in the action packed tournament in a bid to be crowned Skegness Champions.

There will also be courts for budding volleyball players to try their hand at the sport.

Volleyball England is working with Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure and Culture, a partner to East Lindsey District Council, in bringing the tournament to the resort.

Volunteering roles are available in helping to set up for the event from Thursday, June 11 to Friday June 12 and during the event itself. Volunteers must be 16 years old or over.

Lindsay Barrett from Magna Vitae said: “Skegness is now a staple in the Volleyball England Beach Tour programme and we’re looking for volunteers to help make the event a success for the resort. No experience is necessary as training and support will be provided. As well as supporting a great event, those taking part will get to experience some first class sport.”
