Skegness CAB to offer ‘better service’
CITIZENS Advice Bureau opening times in Skegness are changing to offer a more effective service coping with increased demand.
From Monday, the Algitha Road branch will open longer for drop-in sessions and appointment-only bookings to help volunteers deal with the increased volume of queries received during the current economic down-turn.
Training and development officer Janice Davies said: “Because of the increased demand for our services we need to look at delivering those services in a different way.
“By introducing appointment-only sessions as well as drop-in days we hope to reduce the waiting times and provide a better service.”
The CAB also hopes to recruit more volunteers to help it cope with its increased opening hours and would like interested parties to visit the Skegness branch.
Applicants will be offered comprehensive training and flexible working hours.
The Algitha Road branch will now open for drop-in interviews on Mondays and Wednesdays between 9.30am and 12.30pm and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am to 4pm for pre-arranged appointments.
