A SKEGNESS confectioners is set to offer a welcome boost to the town centre after it announced plans to open a second outlet.

Hames Chocolates already operates a store on Lumley Road close to the Tower Cinema.

But it is set to create six new jobs after it announced plans for a new Chocolate Cafe in the High Street.

The new outlet will occupy the former Turner’s Chip Shop (pictured) and it is hoped the completely renovated site will be open by the Easter weekend.

Company Director, Carol Oldbury, said “The chocolate-themed establishment is going to be more than a café, offering speciality drinks, cakes and ice-cream sundaes in comfortable surroundings plus a retail area where customers can browse for chocolate gifts and indulgent treats.”

One of the features of the Hames Chocolate Café will be a Chocolate Theatre, where customers can watch chocolatiers make chocolates, fudges and other confectionery delights.

The outlet will also offer a range of chocolate making courses and chocolate birthday parties.

It will also host tasting sessions.
