Pot holes causing financial headache for hospital-goers, warns Skegness Mayor
Extended travel to and from a hospital to see a sick loved one has become more costly due to the large pot holes en route, claims Skegness Mayor Mark Anderson.
Speaking during Skegness Town Council’s full meeting, last week, Coun Anderson spoke of his sympathy for other motorists who travel along the A52 from Skegness to Boston to visit family from fuel costs but more importantly, repairs to vehicles due to the road’s condition.
Coun Anderson said he had spent nearly £800 visiting and had also made four trips to have tracking repaired, costing around £200.
But he blamed central Government funding rather than Lincolnshire County Council Highways for the issue.
