The number of people claiming out-of-work benefits in East Lindsey has fallen by more than 10 per cent in the past year, the latest figures show.

The district’s claimant count dropped from 1,575 to 1,305 during April, the Office for National Statistics revealed on Wednesday.

In April last year, the count was 1,480 – representing a drop of 175, or about 12 per cent.
