The owners of the popular North Shore Hotel and Golf Club have bought the nearby Addlethorpe Golf Club

The club was sold by the Poyntons Consultancy to the Mitchell family recently.

New owners, the Mitchells, have owned own and operated the North Shore Hotel and Golf Club since 1980.

They will be reopening the Addlethorpe course shortly under its new name - the Skegness Golf Centre

It is understood that the greens, tees and fairways at the Addlethorpe club were all maintained throughout the sale period, and the course and driving range will be re-opening soon.

Head Professional Nikki Chantry said: “I am delighted to be managing the newly refurbished and renamed Skegness Golf Centre.

“After working at Best Western North Shore Hotel & Golf Course for over six years I can’t wait to get stuck into a great new adventure.

“We are looking to attract more people to try golf, I will be offering free taster sessions at the centre and also visiting local school and clubs.
