Two heroic health workers in Skegness have been praised for their hard work and dedication to patient care.
Skegness Health Shop stop smoking advisor Marie Farrell and Skegness Hospital staff nurse Debbie Camm were among 50 NHS workers to be presented with awards after going beyond their day-to-day duties.
Marie was nominated by a colleague who complimented her for building a rapour to achieve great success in helping people stop smoking, resulting in ‘amazing feedback’ from clients.
She said: “I feel honoured to be recognised for the work I do - it is a privilege to be able to work with the local people to help them stop smoking.”
And Debbie received two separate nominations which praised her ‘approachable, compassionate’ attitude and for being a ‘loving, caring and a really good mentor to her students’.

She said: “It came as a total surprise to be nominated for NHS Heroes but I am just part of a really good team.”
Both of the heroic health professionals worked for Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, which has also praised the award winners.
LCHS chairman Dr Don White said: “Our staff are making a difference to hundreds of patients’ lives in the community every single day.
“They’re not performing miracles - they are that shoulder to lean on, those words of encouragement or that person handing you a cup of tea.

“These are the people who do everything they can to make sure our patients get the very best care.
“It;s very humbling to hear how valued they are by both their colleagues and patients in the community and I’m proud to have them working at LCHS.”
