A family favourite themepark on the east coast has introduced a whole host of exciting new attractions for the thousands of thrill-seekers it welcomes each year.

This year, Fantasy Island will be launching new play areas, restaurants and special offers to appeal to all the family.

A spokesperson said: “We’ve been busily working behind the scenes all winter to give our guests an extra special visitor experience and are proud to announce some great new attractions, which are sure to make 2013 a fantastic year at Fantasy Island.”

A new play area, situated on the third floor of the themepark’s iconic Pyramid attraction, has arrived and Standard readers will soon have the chance to name it, with the lucky winner receiving a free annual pass for 2013.

The play area offers ‘hours of fun’ for three-to-11-year-olds and will be available free for wristband holders during the low season.

A firm favourite during the resort’s Halloween Extravaganza last year, the Bucking Bronco, will be returning as a permanent attraction.

The ride will be included in the wristband deal and daring riders who can hold the longest will be offered special prizes.

The Rock Wall proved to be such a popular hit during its introductory outing at the fairground last year that it will be included for the entire season this year.

Fantasy Island will also be welcoming a thrilling Wall of Death attraction for the coming season, featuring up to three daredevil bikers careering around a near vertical wall at breakneck speeds of up to 60 miles per hour.

Culinary fans will also be in for a treat after the resort expanded its restaurant repertoire to include Domino’s Pizza which will also deliver to all caravan sites in Ingoldmells.

And thirsty dads will also be able to take advantage of a wide selection of draught lager and cider available from as little as £2 per pint.

The Ingoldmells resort has also introduced a new short stay carpark, in response to customers commenting that they would like to be able to pop into the market without paying for a full day stay.

Fantasy Island will be opening on weekends from March 2 for the market and March 16 for rides before both are available seven days a week from March 23.
