The Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum brought a blast from the past to Skegness and Mablethorpe this afternoon (Wednesday) when a former ’Lincolnshire Road Car’ double-decker bus retraced its former route from 50 years ago,
The bus - a 1946 Bristol K6A in its traditional green livery - pulled out of the site of the former LRC bus station in Drummond Road in Skegness at noon, after earlier driving from the museum’s base near Lincoln.
The bus then retraced the route to Mablethorpe on a journey it regularly plied over 50 years ago.
Aboard the bus on the journey were several classic vehicle enthusiasts.
The Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum is located at Whisby Road in North Hykeham. For more information about the museum go to www.lvvs.org.uk.
