Supermarket shoppers in Skegness can have their name or a loved ones’ printed on a bottle of Coca-Cola as part of the Share a Coke campaign today.
The nationwide Share a Coke tour is visiting Tesco’s Richmond Drive store from 10am until 6pm today (Thursday) offering shoppers a personalised label on every 500ml bottle of Coca-Cola, Diet Coke or Coke Zero purchased.
Coca-Cola’s Great Britain and Ireland general manager Jon Woods said: “We are thrilled to be bringing the Share a Coke tour to Skegness to give everyone here the opportunity to share a special bottle of Coca-Cola with friends and family.
This summer, the campaign has seen Coca-Cola replace its label with 250 of the nation’s popular names, in a bid encourage everyone to join in with the ‘summer of sharing’.
Coinciding with the visit, Coca-Cola has released data about Skegness’s most regularly occurring names, as revealed by sales of the labelled bottles.
The most popular males name is John, closely followed by David and Michael.
And for females, Susan tops the list with Margaret and Christine coming second and third.
Tesco’s UK marketing director David Wood said: “The Share a Cole bottles have been extremely popular with our customers and it’s great that now everyone in Skegness, whatever their name is, has the chance to get their hands on a personalised bottle.”
