There is still time to register for an energy buying scheme which could save you money on gas and electricity bills.
In less than a month, more than 600 people have already signed up to the Lincolnshire Energy Switch Scheme, which can help save money on energy bills.
Last year the scheme helped householders save an average of £186 a year, and now the scheme has continued to give more people the chance to save.
Launched on April 15, 642 households have already registered.
Householders now have until June 9, to register their interest.
Visit www.e-lindsey.gov.uk/savenow to register your details.
Make sure you have a recent gas or electricity bill to hand which shows your current tariff and your energy consumption. Alternatively call 01529 301990 between 9am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
There is no obligation to switch, and once the registration period deadline has passed, energy companies are invited to offer a competitive tariff.
The lowest tariff will be offered to households who registered.
They will then have four weeks to decide whether or not to switch.
East Lindsey District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Communities, Councillor Sandra Harrison, said: “We are encouraging as many people as possible to register with the Lincolnshire Energy Switch scheme, it only takes a few minutes but could result in substantial savings on your energy bills. The biggest savings are likely to be achieved by people who have either never switched, or not switched for a long time.”
A similar switching scheme for small and medium businesses (SMEs) is also available using the same website address.
