Caravan park site owners are invited to attend a special seminar in Skegness this week.
Tomorrow (Thursday, January 23), the Embassy Theatre will be hosting a ‘prepare for flooding’ event.
This is a free event which will be offering advice regarding the current flood risk situation, to all those in Lincolnshire who own a caravan.
The event, run by Lincolnshire Joint Emergency Management Service, has been offered to present advice on evacuation plans.
Harley Harrison, Emergency Planning Officer at Lincolnshire County Council said: “Events, both historical and recent, have shown flooding can have devastating effects on lives, but also on business.”
“When flooding does happen, we have to have plans in place to cope, we want to encourage individuals and communities to take action too,” he added.
There will be also be a Flood Planning Workshop with the Environment Agency.
Speakers at the event include Matthew Hoy from Northampton County Council, David Brailsford from Sutton Springs and David Powell from Lincolnshire County Council.
