AUTHORITIES have refused to grant a licence for next week’s Matt Cardle gig in Boston.
This means, as present, the concert can no longer go ahead.
The decision was made following a five-hour meeting of Boston Borough Council’s licensing sub-committee yesterday (Wednesday) when it announced there were ‘serious concerns regarding public safety’ for the event.
The gig was planned to take place at Boston Town football club’s ground next Saturday, May 26.
Concert organiser and Town chairman Mick Vines now has 21 days to appeal the decision - but only nine days left before the gig.
