THE Mayor of Skegness officially declared the new B&Q store in Wainfleet Road, open on Saturday.

Staff, old and new, welcomed customers to view the store and the extensive range of products inside.

Over the past two months, the former Focus DIY store has been refitted ready for the official launch of B&Q.

The store will offer a wide range of home improvement products - from turf to treated timber, shelf kits to shower enclosures and plumbing fittings to packet seeds – all housed under one roof at great value.

Store Manager David Owens said, “This site has served the local community for years, most recently as a Focus DIY, and the B&Q team aim to continue the good work. Not only will we be on hand to help our customers create their dream homes but also we hope to give something back in the months and years to come with our fund raising efforts for local charities.”
