Almost 8k marketing bags given out

Almost 8,000 cotton bags promoting Skegness have been given away during marketing events attended by the Jolly Fisherman mascot over the past year.

Town manager Stefan Krause told the Skegness Town and Area Marketing Partnership that the bags had been a popular part of the Jolly on Tour events.

“People treasure them,” he said.

STAMP member John Byford also said they had been a ‘huge success’ and agreed that extra bags should be purchased for future events.

STAMP agreed to continue with the more expensive cotton bags, costing 68 pence each, as opposed to plastic or paper options, which members felt were too disposable. Other Skegness tourist operations will be invited to contribute towards the venture.
