Demolition teams have moved in to clear the remains of a business premises destroyed by fire.

The headquarters of Seacroft Mobility at Croft, near Skegness, was severely damaged in the blaze in September. The burnt out structure is being torn down for a replacement to be constructed on the Bateman’s Court site. Separate planning applications are being made to reconstruct the original building and build a new storage area.

No-one was injured in the blaze at the building, which housed the company’s main office, distribution and repair centre.

Following the fire Seacroft Mobility moved into premises at the nearby New England Business Park. Trading was largely unaffected and the company, which sells and services mobility products, is set to expand next year.

Company director Robin Swain said: “The business was up and running again within three days and back to full strength after a fortnight.”
