Burlesque show set for theatre

BURLESQUE is back, bigger and better than before and this July it is coming to entertain the crowds in Skegness.

An Evening of Burlesque will be showcasing the stars of the thriving West End scene to the audience at Skegness’s Embassy Theatre on Friday (July 29).

Following the hit Hollywood film all about the glamorous entertainment style, starring Christina Aguilera and Cher, the UK’s only touring burlesque show has booked a 50-date tour at venues up and down the entire nation.

Show promoter Michael Taylor promises: “All tease and no sleaze in a production that marries elegant showgirls, superb vocals, couture costumes, breathtaking choreography and a fabulous score with comedy and magic.

“With corsets, killer heels and stockings aplenty and costumes recalling long-gone-by eras of glamour - An Evening of Burlesque brings variety back to the theatre.”

A talented cast of burlesque performers will be taking to the stage introduced by the hilarious compere Kiki Kaboom to sing, dance and enthral the audience.

Leading lady Amber Topaz has been described as: “Every inch the moving, shaking, dancing sex bomb” who sings with “wit and passion.”

Alongside Amber are a bevy of beautiful, elegant and versatile performers including Chrys Columbine, Hotcake Kitty; Slinky Sparkles, and star of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Piff the Magic Dragon.

The overall show has been described as ‘jaw-dropping’ and ‘fun, witty, beautiful and rather moving.’

l Tickets cost £19.50 and £18.50 and are available from the Embassy Theatre Box Office on 0845 6740505
