The British National Party has announced it’s Boston and Skegness General Election candidate for May 2015.

Robert West, was announced as the man who will represent the party following what they described as an ‘extensive consultation’.

He was approved at a final pre-election meeting near Burgh le Marsh on Tuesday.

Boston and Skegness branch and group organiser Robert Ashton said: “The party has selected a candidate who will stand up for what is right and will work hard to change what is wrong.”

“He is tough enough to take on the career politicians and will fight valiantly with faith, values and commonsense,” he added.

He said some of the party’s manifesto would centre around what the party believes to be concern over ‘the threat from Islamic terrorists’ in the constituency.

Mr Ashton said: “We are excited to support Reverend Robert West as the PPC for Boston and Skegness and we are eager to shake up the status quo.

He added: “It is time to have politicians with the willingness to stand up for the indigenous people and be an important voice to defend them against the growing Islamic terror threat.”

Robert West, who lives in Holbeach, is a former Conservative councillor on South Holland District Council.
