THE Skegness branch of the Royal British Legion has paid thanks to two local venues for their fundraising efforts.

Richmond Leisure and the Skegness Ex-Servicemen’s Club raised a total of £574.03p at recent chariity events.

Skegness branch chairman Les Constantine is delighted with the three-figure sum.

He said: “As chairman of the branch I would like to express my sincere thanks to Richmond Leisure and the Skegness Ex-Servicemen’s Club.”

Meanwhile he has appealed for volunteers to help with the annual poppy collection.

“Can I appeal to any member of the public who feels they would like to help us by collecting for an hour or two in one of the local supermarkets in early November.

“Please conect me on 01754 763 878,” he added.
