A second bar has been hit by fire in Ingoldmells in the space of a few weeks after a fire this evening (Sunday).

Three fire crews from Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue were scrambled at 8pm to report of a fire on Sea Lane.

The authorities have not officially identified the location but it has been named locally as the Four Winds Tavern. It is understood to be the outside bar in the establishment.

Two crews from Skegness and one from Alford were called out at the height of the fire.

The blaze comes just a few weeks after a spectacular inferno severely damaged the Bell Inn, a hugely popular bar in Anchor Lane.

UPDATE (11.25pm)- The fire brigade said the fire caused “severe damage” to the timber-framed bar and its contents, as well as heat damage to three windows.

It was extinguished using two hose reels and one main jet.
