A selfless volunteer who devotes her time to caring for horses has been nominated for an award to celebrate her achievements.
Terena Bolam works tirelessly as an unpaid manager at the Northcote Heavy Horse Centre in Great Steeping.
Now Terena’s efforts running the centre have been recognised after she has been shortlisted for an award recognising ‘everyday heroes.’
The winner will be guest of honour at a ‘pop up’ party hosted by campaign organisers Pork Farms.
Terena was nominated for recognition by her friend Francesca Harrod.
Francesca said: “Terena works 24/7 for no pay, and often no thanks. A party for her, instead of her planning parties and events for everyone else to raise funds, would be amazing. She is such a dedicated and selfless person who always puts others first.”
Pork Farms head of markets Kim Burgess, said: “Terena is an inspiration to all of us and we encourage her friends, family and local community to get behind her and leave a comment on the Pork Farms Facebook page.”
