Area becoming a happier place
The results of the government’s Personal Wellbeing Survey show that county residents overall also reported an improvement to their personal wellbeing compared to the previous year’s survey.
This is consistent with the national trends which indicate that personal wellbeing improved in the UK between 2011/12 and 2012/13.

Hide AdTeresa Roche, assistant director of public health at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “The link between where people live and how happy and satisfied they are is a complex one, and is not fully understood.”
“Research suggests that being healthy including having good mental wellbeing, whether you work or not, your relationship status, housing tenure and educational attainment can all be important factors, which probably doesn’t come as a surprise.”
