Police are appealing for witnesses to a handbag snatch in Skegness.

The incident happened around 4.15pm yesterday (Saturday) in the area of the brick shelter on North Parade.

Police say a woman in her 60s was approached by a white male with cropped hair, wearing jeans and a white top, who grabbed her bag and ran off.

The bag was a Kipling soft cloth white and black bag with a black monkey ornament hanging from it.

The victim was shaken but unhurt.
