THE Alford Brownies have raised £175 for charity after they held their annual charity coffee morning on Saturday.
The event in the town’s Methodist Church raised funds for the Bat Preservation Society - the girls’ chosen charity.
The girls were working towards the Hostess Badges and were kept busy. Prizewinners were, sweets in jar, Pat Wood; name of toy, Maya Taylor; and treasure map, Harley Brown.
The kitchen was manned by Leader Sue Drummond, the cake stall by assistant leader Anne Nash Door and the Tombola by Trefoil Member Nancy Wilson, helped by Louise Willey and her daughters Olivia and Georgia Handley.
