Tuesday - TRIBUTES have been paid to Peter Parr, the 49-year-old Skegness business man killed in a motorbike accident on Friday night at Gunby.
Mr Parr was a well-known and popular member of the community having lived and worked in the area all his life.
Mr Parr, of Welton le Marsh, leaves behind his wife Lindsay and two beautiful children Tom, 10, and Orla, seven.
People have been keen to pay tribute in memory of such a kind-hearted man who his wife describes as having had 'a real energy for life, loved adventure and was a genuine 'people person', getting to know strangers in a matter of minutes'.
Below are just some of the tributes to Peter:
Claire Dixon said: "You really were a man in a million and will be dearly missed by all who knew you. "My thoughts are with your family at this impossible time, your children Tom and Orla have lost a loving father and Lyndsay has lost her husband.
"No words can ever be enough - it's more than a tragedy. Rest in peace xxx"
Antony Miller and family said: "This is such a tragic loss. I have known Pete for over ten years, played football with him, and kept in touch.
"He was a honest, hard working father who will be sadly missed.
"RIP Pete."
Coun Gary Ellis, of Skegness, said: "I have know Peter from our school days, and was only talking to him on Thursday.
"He was a Kind and friendly man who always had a smile. You will be sadly missed by all in Skegness.
"Best wishes to your family."
Christopher Taylor, who is living in France, wrote: "I think I first met Peter around 1970. He was in the year below me at the grammar school and we got to know each other better shortly before leaving school.
"He became one of my oldest and dearest friends. Since learning of his tragic loss of life, precious memories keep flooding back to me of our shared adventures; driving across Ireland in his Morris Minor to spend Christmas in front of a peat burning fire at his mother's family house in Westport, County Mayo, trips during his art school days to a field station I could use in the wilds of the North York Moors, parties in Sheffield, weekends in Barcelona, or snowball fights in his garden in Welton.
"Peter was always a warm-hearted, open and extremely generous friend, and his positive nature and love of life were infectious and an inspiration.
"He was also very talented and active in many fields - as an artist, teacher, sportsman or in business, he always gave himself wholeheartedly, and was successful because of it.
"Perhaps my fondest memories of him are seeing him at home with his family. Few fathers could have been so loving, and his family were always his priority.
"Peter was a wonderful man.
I had the great pleasure of knowing Pete for a number of years now and to say the news came as a shock is an understatement. Pete was one of those genuinely nice guys you rarely find. Always the big personality in the room and one of the first to offer help if it were needed. Pete played five-a-side with a group of us every week and will be very sorely missed. A big man on the pitch and an even bigger one off it. Rest in Peace from all of your friends at the Tuesday football club.
Best wishes

I knew Pete from our days at Skegness Grammar School, working at Natureland for several years and Skegness Volleyball team in the early 80's. I only remember long summers (except being snowbound at Wragby after an away game one winter !), barrels of laughs and a true friend for life. Someone who lived life to the max but always had time for his family and his many friends.
My deepest sympathy to Pete's family, Heaven just got a bit brighter

My wife and I are saddened and devastated by the tragic loss of Pete Parr. It was only a few weeks ago that we had the family come and stay with us and it was a delight to have a proper catch up after a long time of only 'snatching quick hello's' at Skegness sea front. Pete was on perfect form that evening; sharing his passion for life, his family, travelling experiences and his biking with me. I remember thinking at the time that this was a man who had got it right; a good man with good values and good intentions. A great role model. I can only hope that by knowing Pete some of his 'magic' has rubbed off on me and I can get close to being the father, husband and man that he was. Our love and thoughts go to Lindsay, Tom and Orla.
