Friday, 9.36am - PASSENGERS travelling on East Midlands Trains are advised to check timetables this Sunday, due to disruption of the service between Nottingham and Skegness.

A revised timetable will be in place on Sunday, with a mixture of trains and buses providing service to customers.

Many train drivers have made themselves unavailable for work this Sunday, July 27, which East Midlands Trains believes is related to the dismissal of one of its drivers for a serious breach of safety regulations.

This will be the third consecutive Sunday drivers have made themselves unavailable for work, and disruption may continue for further weeks.
PR manager for East Midlands Trains Debbie Mather said: "We find out on Wednesdays if the drivers are making themselves available, so we do not know if the action will continue."

To check timetables for Sunday, log on to www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk, click on important updates and alterations for July 27, and then download the timetable for your route of travel.

Alternatively, contact National Rail on 08457 484950.
