Monday, 4pm - AN 18-year-old who admitted two charges of criminal damage has been sentenced to a community order of 18 months' supervision.

Wayne Doughty, of 46 Wainfleet Road, Skegness admitted his part in throwing lumps of concrete through the windows of a Land Rover. The vehicle was hitched to a trailer advertising Hewison's supermarket, magistrates heard.

Doughty pleaded guilty to damaging a Land Rover Discovery and damaging a wall belonging to Skegness Sands Caravan Site.

The offences put Doughty in breach of a conditional discharge imposed in July for assault, the court heard.

Skegness magistrates sentenced Doughty to a community order of 18 months' supervision with a requirement to attend the controlling anger and learning to manage it programme (CALM). He was also ordered to pay £330 towards repairs to the Land Rover.

Magistrates took no action on the breach of conditional discharge and allowed that to remain in place.

Prosecutor Paul Wood told the court Doughty had been one of three men seen to pick off bits of wall at the Skegness Sands site and throw the lumps of concrete at a Land Rover, causing more than £1,000 worth of damage.

Asad Aziz, representing Doughty, said his client was currently in receipt of job seeker's allowance.
