Tuesday, 9.11am - YEAR 9 students from St Clement's College, Skegness, reached the regional finals of the Co-op Challenge, run by the Education Business Partnership.
Five students had to create a television advert for the competition, held at the University of Lincoln, along with teams from 20 other schools from the Lincolnshire and Rutland area.
The group, Hayley Hodgkinson, Paige Harris, Shannon Connelly, Katie Pringle and Bethany Jenkins, were shortlisted to the final five and finished fourth overall.
Business and ICT teacher and organiser Chris Cussons said: "I am very pleased with the progress that all of the groups have made.
"It was a close race but this group won by going 'the extra mile' and creating a spectacular television advert promoting their chosen product, Fairtrade Tea.
"I am also very proud of the girls as they came fourth out of a large number of schools."
College prinicpal Vondra Mays was also delighted with the team's success.
she added: "This is not the first event that we have done so well in and I am sure it will not be the last. I am very proud of their achievement."
