Wednesday, 10am: TOP chef Jason Atherton will appear on The Great British Menu every night this week as the competition hots up.
Jason, orginally from Skegness, has been competing in The Great British Menu on BBC2 for the past few weeks and is almost through to the final round.

The contest started with 14 chefs from around the country competing for the chance to cook for ground-breaking chef Heston Blumenthal and his guests at incredible London landmark the Gherkin.

To win, the chefs must prove they are the best when it comes to creating modern British cuisine, and each week chefs have had to go home when their food does not make the grade.

Jason is Gordon Ramsay's right-hand man and is the executive chef at Maze restaurant and Maze Grill both in London's Mayfair.

He will find out if he has made it to the final seven chefs on Friday.
