Thursday, 11.30am: YOU can help Nathan Hancock, the Skegness cancer victim who desperately needs a bone marrow donor, by going to blood donor sessions in the area from today, Thursday.
A session will be held at Cleethorpes Memorial Hall between 1.45-7.15pm today. One will also be held at the Franklin Hall, in Halton Road, Spilsby, tomorrow, Friday, from 1.15-3pm and 4-8pm.

Sessions will be held in Skegness at the Embassy Centre on November 11 from 1.15-3pm adn 4-8pm.

If you choose to do it at a blood donor session you must also become a blood donor if you are not one already.

A massive boost in support for Nathan, 22, was seen within hours of his story going public in the Standard and through the BBC.

The Facebook group set up to help find a donor for Nathan who is suffering from lymphoblastic lymphoma, a rare form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, got a surge of more than 500 members within hours.

The group, Help Find a Bone Marrow Donor for Nathan Hancock, was set up on Monday, and now has more than 1,400 members supporting him.

Messages of support and requests for more information from people who are going to join the register have also been received.

Nathan desperately needs bone marrow to help him beat cancer. The more people who join the donor lists the better chance Nathan has of finding a match. By doing it you can save a life.

Nathan is mixed race (West Indies/white) which means people with a similar background are particularly urged to come forward as there is a lack of mixed, black and ethnic minority donors.
