Wednesday, 9.45am - A SEARCH was launched by emergency services after a man involved in a car crash went missing in Skegness.
Police received reports a Vauxhall Astra had left the road at Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve, Skegness, and was on fire at about 8.15pm last night, Tuesday.

The car was not badly damaged but the driver had apparently wandered off in a daze.

A search was launched involving police, the Fire and Rescue Service, the lifeboat, coastguard, the coastguard helicopter and the nature reserve wardens.

The 52-year-old driver was discovered at Gibraltar Point at about 11.15pm. He was taken to Skegness Police Station and later allowed home.
