HUNT protestors who stormed the House of Commons used a forged invitation from Louth and Horncastle MP Sir Peter Tapsell.
Five intruders reached the floor of the chamber on Wednesday during a debate on the Hunting Bill.
They used a letter purporting to be signed by Sir Peter and Kerry Pollard, Labour MP for St Albans.
The note appeared to show the invaders - including a friend of Prince William and the son of Bryan Ferry - had been asked to discuss building works.
Sir Peter, who was telephoned from his Louth constituency office, said the signature was not his.

For the full story and a chance to vote on the hunting ban, see the Standard tomorrow, Wednesday.
