Tuesday - NEW plans for the Bola's Grand Parade site and part of the Tower Gardens in Skegness have been revealed.
The 11-storey sky pier idea which was the original plan for the former Parade Complex site has been readdressed.

Taj Bola said: "The original ideas that we had would have been wrong for Skegness. We have listened to the comments people have made and realise the town does not want a city centre of Las Vegas development on its seafront.

"We however need to move forward as a resort."

The new sky pier design is five levels, one underground, which would include bars, a nightclub, a food court and leisure facilties.

The brothers' believe the new building is more symapathetic to the area.

This time Taj and his brother TK have also come up with an idea for the site at the front of the Tower Gardens which Bell Leisure has incoporated into its plans to build a hotel and apartment block from its former Lucky Strike arcade site across the park entrance.

For this area, the brothers have come up with the Piazza which is designed to be an all-weather project, including restaurants, a skate rink, climbing wall, virtual skydiving, indoor golf, shops and a venue for live children's entertainment.

Taj said: "Like many other seaside towns the seafront needs more investment.

"The time is right for investing in Skegness, but it has to be based on providing sustainable new leisure and not more of the same.

"We have to not only attract a wider audience but offer the local community things which will appeal to them."
