Wednesday, 9.28am - MYSTERY surrounds the death of Hogsthorpe businessman Andrew Thurston.
Lincolnshire police have released further details of events leading to Mr Thurston's death on Sunday, July 27.
Mr Thurston, 44, was found unwell at around 11am at the Country Meadows Caravan Site in Anchor Lane, Ingoldmells, and died later at the Pilgrim Hospital, Boston.
A post mortem returned inconclusive and pathologists are trying to discover the cause of death, which may have involved Mr Thurston having blood on his head, arms and hands, as well as his T-shirt.
Forensic tests and police searches found Mr Thurston's blood present at telephone kiosks in Sea Lane and Anchor Lane, and on Old Roman Bank, Skegness, a short distance from the A52 Roman Bank.
Senior investigating officer Det Supt Roger Bannister said: "We have had a bit of feedback from the public but not as much as I was hoping for. When you consider the T-shirt is very distinctive, clear and memorable we expected to get many people ringing in.
"We are really mindful of the T-shirt which may have been bloodstained at some time. If people saw that, they should give us a call."
Police believe Mr Thurston's movements involve him leaving Harvey's Bar in Skegness at around 1am on July 27.
CCTV shows a man fitting his description walking along Grand Parade at around 1.23am, wearing a Happy Mondays T-shirt.
Police believe he may then have walked along Roman Bank or roads nearby, through Winthorpe and into Ingoldmells, passing Butlins and Fantasy Island before reaching the caravan site.
CCTV showed a man fitting Mr Thurston's description walking in Anchor Lane at around 3.40am, appearing distressed, bare chested and possibly suffering from a head injury.
A Happy Mondays T-shirt was found heavily bloodstained near the roadside in Old Roman Bank, Ingoldmells, between the telephone kiosk near Fantasy Island and Anchor Lane.
Det Supt Bannister added: "One local resident reported to officers that he had hosed away an area of blood on his driveway on the morning of Sunday, July 27 – did you do the same?"
