Saturday, 5pm: FISHERMEN and recreational sea users attended Natural England's consultation meeting in Skegness to comment on proposals for a possible Special Area of Conservation (SpAC) off the Lincolnshire Coast.
The plan is to protect important habitats around Inner Dowsing, Race Bank and North Ridge and consultations end on February 26.

A Natural England spokesman said: "We had a useful dialogue, explaining the differences between the various designations for marine protected areas.

"It gave sea users a chance to air their concerns – for example around whether the possible designations would affect their pursuits – which will then be fed into the consultation."
