Man demands money in Chapel St Leonards caravan theft

Thursday, 9.30am: A MAN broke into a caravan and demanded money from its occupant at the Happy Days caravan site in Trunch Lane, Chapel St Leonards on Sunday.
At around 4.30am the burglar, wearing a balaclava and dark coloured clothing broke in, waking the occupant.

A handbag was handed over and the man, around 5ft 8in tall with an Irish accent, fled the scene carrying a torch and possibly riding a bicycle.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area on Sunday morning.
