Thursday, 5.34pm - PUPILS from Skegness Junior School donned Elvis and monster costumes for their summer production at the Embassy Theatre, Skegness.

The Rocky Monster Show was performed by year six children and was a musical based around well known stories with a rock 'n' roll theme.

Assistant head teacher Phil Allen said: "The presentation was very enjoyable. Years three, four and five did dances before the main show, including the monster mash, thriller and the time warp."

Following the show a Royal Dalton decanter and a bouquet of flowers was presented to teaching assistant Christine Parker, of Northshore Road, Skegness, who retired from the school after 21 years.

She said: "It has been nice to see children come into the school and see their learning improve over the four years they were here."
Mrs Parker plans to play a bit more golf, do more gardening and take

little holidays with her free time.

She worked for Croft's department store in Lumley Road, Skegness, before joining the school
