Sunday, 9am: THE swinging sixties were back in style at Skegness Infants' School last Friday as staff and youngsters raised cash for the RNLI.
It was the lifeboat charity's SOS appeal and the school raised £163 by turning out in gear from the Sixties or Seventies and, for the younger ones, the choice was Spots or Stripes.
Many of the children are studying the sixties as a topic so the day brought classroom lessons to life.
There was a chance to sit in a sixties car, a Vauxhall Cresta, as well as an opportunity to play with classic toys from the era.
Highlights of the day were a fashion show and a disco.
Deputy headteacher Amanda Turner said: "It's been fun for the children and seeing all of the colourful costumes really gave you a feel for the sixties."
The youngsters had a visit during the day from local lifeboat volunteers who spoke about their work.
