Saturday, 9am - THE switch-on of Skegness' Christmas illuminations will take place on Thursday and with it the launch of the Skegness Standard and Hildreds' centre Christmas colouring competition.
Hildreds deputy manager Steve Andrews has been busy creating a Christmas wonderland at the Lumley Road shopping centre and has created this cartoon for youngsters to colour, which features many of the characters in this year's display.

The competition is open to anyone up to the age of 15 and there are some top prizes up for grabs. As in previous years retailers in the Hildreds centre have supported the competition by donating prizes.

The stores which have supplied prizes this year are Hildreds centre, 5>.com, Little Frankies, H. Samuels, Dolland and Aitchison, Game, the card barrow, the make-up barrow, Co-op, the Cottage Loaf, Thorntons, WH Smith, Superdrug, Shoe Zone, Claire's Accessories, Curtis, Jonathan James and Wilkinsons.

Your designs must be posted at Santa's Grotto at the Hildreds centre or the Skegness standard office by 9am on December 15.

Designs can be as colourful and imaginative as you want but must be submitted on an official entry form.

Entry forms can be collected from the Hildreds centre or the Skegness Standard office.

Winners will be presented with their prizes during late night shopping on December 18.

Competition entry rules, published on the entry form, apply.
