Thursday, 2pm: A BID is being made to allow women to become full members of Skegness' Ex-Serviceman's Club.
As it stands now women are associate members which means they are not allowed to vote at committee meetings, to serve on the committee or have a say in how the club is run. Member Brendan Connelly is hoping to bring a motion before the committee at the club's AGM on May 19.

He said: "In everything else women have equal rights, apart from this. Listening to the ladies they feel they have not got a voice, they have no say whatsoever."

Mr Connelly is hopeful his motion will be supported and if it is he believes the club could be the first in Lincolnshire to allow women to become full members.

The AGM will be held at the Embassy arts room, at 8pm.
