A public exhibition has been held to showcase plans for a 50 acre solar farm near Orby.

Developers Lark Energy staged the event as part of a consultation with local residents.

The solar farm would be located on agricultural land at Habertoft if the scheme gets the green light.

A planning application is set to be submitted to East Lindsey District Council following a public consultation.

Representatives from Lark Energy attended the exhibition held at Orby Village Hall last Wednesday.

Display boards provided information about solar energy with feedback forms for visitors to set out their views on the scheme.

Bosses from Lark Energy previously attended a meeting of Orby Parish Council to outline the plan.

Operations director Julie Rankin said: “There has been a mixed reaction. We have received some support, but are not sure of the extent until we review the feedback.

“This is a useful exercise for us in terms of preparing the application and future engagement.

“Concerns are varied but typically concern traffic during construction.”
