Wildlife Watch group is launched

YOUNG naturalists hoping to experience real wildlife encounters are invited to the launch of an exciting new group.

Gibraltar Point Wildlife Watch is hosting its first meeting on Sunday from 11am to 2pm for children aged 10 and above.

Visitors will be able to dissect owl pellets, identify wildlife and could win a t-shirt signed by TV wildlife expert Nick Baker.

The group which is run by volunteer leaders with the support of Lincolnshire’s Wildlife Watch co-ordinator Mary Porter, and will meet every month.

Regular meetings will be held on the last Saturday of every month from 10am to 12pm and are open to members and non-members.

It is hoped that children will decide what activities they are most interested in carrying out, from animal tracking to practical scrub clearance work, at the group’s later meetings.
