Skegness Playgoers are set to celebrate the Christmas season with an evening of fun and frivolity on Saturday, December 1 at 7pm in St Clement’s Community Hall, Skegness.
The evening’s entertainment will start at 7.30pm when the society will perform two comedic play readings - ‘Silver Wedding’ and ‘Say Something Happened’.
They will also provide a Christmas buffet for the audience to enjoy with the evening.
A spokesperson said: “Skegness Playgoers have faced tough times in the past year and were on the brink of closing down, after over 60 years, following the loss of the Embassy Theatre as our venue for the annual adult and youth play festivals.
“However, due to the support of local business and a local school, the society has been able to continue with this tradition and provide evenings of excellent entertainment to the local community.
“This fun-filled Christmas event is set to offer another great evening of entertainment and laughs.
“However these events will only be able to continue with the support of the local community.
“So if you are looking for an evening filled with laughs and merriment over this festive period, please go along to this evening and support Skegness Playgoers and help them continue to entertain for another 60 years,” they added.
